"It's shego," Wade told her, "she's up at the top of water tower, probably up to no good, you had better go check it out!"
"I'm on it," Kim replied as she shut the communicator down and hurried off to where the city's water tower was located.
She climbed it quickly, keeping an eye out for any danger or traps that were set.
Yet when she finally got to the top, she found Shego simply sitting there, her legs dangling over the railing, looking forlorn and saddened.
"Hey Kimmie," Shego said absently as she looked over at her, "don't worry I'm not going to hurt you this time, or any time from now on."
This was certainly not what she had been expecting, and she still feared a trick, but the way that Shego was acting and how she looked when she saw her was just too sad for her to easily believe that.
"What's up Shego?" Kim asked.
"You remember last time when you got Draken and put him in jail?" Shego asked.
"Yeah," Kim answered.
"Well I was about to break him out again when Draken got me a message and told me not to, it seems he just gave up," Shego informed her.
"Seriously?" Kim asked in disbelief, "Draken giving up."
"I wouldn't have believed it myself," Shego replied, "but then he even went and pled guilty to everything, and gave up the names of several other criminals and where they were hiding, pretty much everyone still at large that you hadn't already captured."
"Why on earth would Draken do that?" Kim asked.
"He told me he just got tired of you beating him all the time and him failing, finally realized that he was never a good enough criminal to succeed so he cut a plea bargain with them, everything for total immunity for myself.
"Drakon actually did that?" Kim asked, amazed that the nemesis that she had been fighting for who knows how long had made such a magnanimous gesture for anyone, even if it was Shego.
"I still can't believe it either," Shego said, "and now that I'm a free, unwanted person, and now out of a job I have no idea what I'm going to do from now on."
"It looks you aren't the only one," Kim told her, "with Drakon and the rest of the criminals in jail there won't be a lot of need for Kim Possible."
"I don't know what to do with my life now," Shego informed her, "I've been a thief for so long I don't know what to do anymore, I suppose I am qualified to be a reserach assistant, Drakon made me get it so that I could help him more easily with that kind of stuff. I suppose I could try and find a job there but just who would take me? A green skinned woman that can shoot green plasma out of her hands and a former thief even one no longer chargeable with the crimes they've committed?"
"My mom might," Kim confided, "I know she's always liked you for some reason and she forgives more easily than anyone I know, and I know that she's just now starting up a new research test. The pay will probably be low since she tried to get me to be one of her test subjects, but it should give you at least some work experience that you can put on actual resume."
