The new digidestined had just defeated the Digimon Emperor, and the Digital world seemed at peace for now, though the dark spires still lingered. Tai found himself quite bored and having to stay and watch the next generation of digidestined to all the work bothered him a little.
He was having other issues. Sure he was in the midst of puberty, and his voice had gotten a bit deeper. He had gotten a decent bit taller as well. The part that bothered him was the fact that he hadn't grown much downstairs. He hoped that he just needed to wait for puberty to continue taking its course, but he did want to have to wait that long, especially since there wasn't a hint of a guarantee that anything would happen if he waited. He was too embarrassed to talk to his doctor about it, and he didn't know what to do.
When Kari headed off that morning to go clean up the control spires, Tai decided to tag along and maybe see Agumon. Soon, the new digidestined, along with Tai, were back in the digital world, where they landed in a city. Tentomon was there, and he reported that Aguman was very far away, and it would take a while to get to Tai. That only made Tai feel worse. He had to be alone to think things through, so while the new digidestined were distracted, he sneaked off into an ally. Soon, he was back out on another street, and on the corner, he saw a pharmacy.
Tai considered his situation downstairs, and he was curious, so he decided to check the pharmacy out. The pharmacy was abandoned, but completely intact, much to his surprise. He figured that all the digimon evacuated when the Digimon Emperor reigned, or maybe they didn't want to be near any control spires. Either way, anything in there was free for the taking.
