Spyro's eyes fluttered open. The first thing he noticed was that he was in a hut, laying on a bed. He's head was pounding. He groaned as he sat him, rubbing his head. He felt odd for some reason, but he could not understand where it was coming from.
"Ah, you're awake," said an unknown voice.
Spyro turned his head and saw a white colored leopard walking towards him. She was holding a shaman's staff, and Spyro could determine that this leopard was the town's healer.
"You suffered a nasty blow from that blast," she said, "Been asleep for two days. We were worried that you slipped into a coma."
Spyro saw that Cynder was standing behind her, smiling in relief. Spyro smiled back at her, and she walked over to him.
"I'll leave you two to talk. Other villagers need my help as well." With that said, the healer disappeared through the flap that served as a door.
"I'm so glad that you're alive!" exclaimed Cynder, hugging Spyro. "When you were hit by that blast and you fell, I thought you were dead." Cynder shook her head.
"Don't worry, Cynder; I'm fine."
But far away, in a cave, sat the same ape wizard that was present at the assault on the village, observing the scene with a crystal ball.
"O, on the contrary, purple one, you're anything but fine."
The ape then snapped his fingers.
Spyro suddenly groaned in pain, clutching his stomach.
"Spyro, what's wrong?" Cynder asked, panicking.
Spyro fell from the bed, tossing and turning as the pain in his body increased, his figure glowing a ominous green color.
