Minato watched in horror, as the destruction of his beloved Konoha continued, as the legendary Kyuubi began to continue its destruction. He had no idea where Kushina was, and his only child Naruto was in his hands. He smiled sadly as he knew what he had to do.
Quickly teleporting to the air above the the Kyuubi, he summoned the toad boss Gamabunta to help him with dealing with the Kyuubi, although he was expectedly cranky. "Brat, why have you summoned me to deal with this of all things?!"
"Please don't argue for now, Gamabunta! I need time to prepare a seal!" Minato pleaded, but Gamabunta looked around, and quickly agreed. He rushed forward to keep the Kyuubi busy as Minato finished his seals. "Bunta! Please back up!" He yelled, as he announced his seal. "Reaper Death Seal!" As the hand of the death god quickly sealed half of the Kyuubi into him, he quickly sealed the other half into Naruto.
He said his farewells to Gamabunta, as he made sure Naruto was comfortable, as he looked to the unseen death god. "I'm ready." He said, as he prepared for his soul to be taken away. Although he was unprepared when the shinigami smiled, somewhat pervertedly, as a white light overcame him.
Minato woke up later, in a place with white rooms. He might have thought it was heaven, if not for the strange smell of antiseptics. "Nope, this ain't heaven... it's hell. It's a hospital!" He groaned. "Wait, why am I alive though?"
Eventually he heard a knock at the door, as a nurse came in. She kind of reminded him of an academy student he saw, who really wanted to be a nurse. "Lord Namikaze, it's good to see you've been doing well."
"Apparently I am."
"Especially since it's been so long since we've heard from you!"
"Heard from me? What do you mean?"
"Why, after the Kyuubi attack you disappeared for 16 years! We had thought you were dead until we found you lying in a random field."
Wait, so that wasn't just a regular nurse. She WAS the academy student he saw, only 16 years older! "Wait, then that means, Naruto, he's 16 years old now?!"
The nurse didn't make the connection. "He was born the same day you vanished after all, so it makes sense. Although there was one thing we couldn't explain."
"What?" Minato asked.
"This." She said as she held a mirror out, and Minato screamed.
He wasn't an adult anymore! He looked like a teen! Matter of fact, he looked 16 or 17! He had to be about Naruto's age, as well as those of his friends! "What the hell?!"
Some time later-
Minato was having an interesting time dealing with this, not only being in a time 16 years later, but also suddenly being a teen! "How does one deal with that?!" He yelled, frustrated, although he decided to look around, cause why not. Well, he wanted to, but he was feeling a sudden urge he hadn't felt since he was a teen. Back in a teen body, the hormones weren't helping! He was horny! What should he do!
