Chapter #8

Waiting it out

    by: Pandare Author IconMail Icon
Both of the siblings doesn't want to be found by their big brother or someone else like this, the two
agree that they wait and hope for the best. To prevent being found like this Alice locks
the door to their room, not really thinking about the possible consequences.
"We should hang the measuring tape here to see if we still get smaller." Alice mentions to her
brother, as she pins the tape on the wall.
Both of them are thinking about a solution to this, but Alice is also a little bit exited on the situation.
Unlike Allen who is afraid of the shrinking, the whole time he walks around nervous in his
oversized shirt.
Both of the shrinking kids can hear the rest of the house is slowly getting up. Your big brother as well
as your sisters are getting up walking down the stairs to get some breakfast.
A short while after it you hear the front door, probably Shawn going to a friend. Now only you two and
your 6 year old twin sisters are at home.
Alice can almost feel herself getting shorter, only very subtile but looking at her brother it's obvious that
you both still shrink.
As she gets up to measure herself again her nightgown is already dragging across the floor.
"Oh no, I'm only 3 feet tall, Allen come over I need to know how small you are."
Still scared at this Alice brother gets over to her, helpless to the situation she can only acknowledge
that Allen is only 2 and a half feet big.
"I don't want to get smaller." he sobs. He's not only getting smaller, he's shrinking much faster than her,
Alice realizes.
Secretly Alice is hoping she gets small enough to go inside her dollhouse, only thinking about how
much fun that could be instead of how dangerous everything could become.
"Don't be afraid little brother, we can have an adventure in our own room when we get smaller."
"You think." Allen answers a little less scared.

"I have an idea." Alice says. "I read you your favorite story and then we look what happens till then."
"Ok." Her brother answers, as he calmed down a bit.
