It had been a few months since Ciel found Zero at the abandoned laboratory, and he had been doing missions for the Resistance ever since. On one of his most recent missions, Zero found a mysterious Cyber Elf that he was unable to use. Thinking it strange, he brought it to Ciel back at the base to research.
"This is the strangest specimen I've encountered yet, Zero. Amazing work finding this! It could really give us a leg up in this drawn-out war if we are able to better understand these Cyber Elves." Ciel excitedly said as she hugged Zero, who blushed a bit at the unexpected skinship.
It's not as if Zero didn't care about Ciel, but during these times, focusing on romance, or really anything of a personal life, was outside the realm of possibility. However, when it came to Ciel, Zero couldn't help but be a bit of a softie sometimes. She was undeniably very cute, and always treated Zero with kindness and consideration.
Suddenly, the Cyber Elf began glowing incredibly bright, and enveloped Ciel's room with a mysterious glow! Ciel stepped back as the rays of light concentrated on Zero's body, and he began getting smaller!
"Z-Zero! What's happening!? I-I don't know how to stop this!" Ciel shouted.
"Well do something! I'll shrink away to nothing at this rate!" Zero said as his voice grew smaller and less audible.
Ciel panicked and closed her eyes, and eventually the glowing stopped. Once she opened her eyes, Zero had disappeared! She examined the floor around her to locate him, only to find him at a mere inch tall scrambling around on the ground. Zero had been jumping up and down trying to get her attention, and luckily he barely did before getting stepped on.
"Zero! Thank goodness you're alright! I'm so sooo sorry, I promise I'll fix this... somehow!" Ciel said as she bent down to pick up the tiny Reploid.
Lifting him with just her index finger and thumb, Ciel lifted the shrunken robot up to get a better look at him. "Somehow, him shrinking made him even cuter..." she thought. Zero squirmed in her grasp, just wanting this to end quickly.
"Oh Zero.... you're really cute like this... maybe we can enjoy it for a bit?" Ciel cutely asked, ignoring the gravity of the situation.
"What!? Ciel, I need to get back to normal so we can further the mission!" Zero responded, getting a little angry at the giant woman who firmly held his entire body.
"Hehe... I'm sorry Zero, I know it's not funny but... your voice is so cute like that..." Ciel used the index finger on her free hand to start poking and prodding at Zero's doll-like body.
"It's not like we know how to fix this, so..." Ciel began...
