Hunter quickly jogged back to the locker room at school, where he changed into his basketball practice shorts, jersey and hightops before hitting the hardwood floor. There, he saw his new teammates, some who were eager to play, and others who were a bit shy. Hunter was obviously the best player on the court, since he was a young teenage boy with his divine powers, but as he walked on to the hardcourt, he remembered his mission and new purpose in life as well. He was supposed to help ordinary mortals using his divine powers. Sure, he could make himself the champion in everything, but the most important thing for him, was to use his abilities to help others.
While Hunter and the other boys warmed up, taking turns shooting and dribbling while passing the ball back and forth, he spotted one boy who was standing closest to the wall. This boy was one of the shorter players, who was also a bit on the chubby side as well. The boy dropped a passed ball now and then, and his aim for passing the ball to other players wasn't very good, either. However, Hunter noted that the boy really wanted to be on the team no matter what.
When the Coach signaled that it was time to play a small pickup game, the boy made a lot of mistakes. He felt terrible, and the Coach made him sit on the bench. When it was finally Hunter's turn to take a rest, he sat next to him as he drank from his water bottle. Then he turned to face the boy, in the hope to learn as much about him as possible.
Using his divine powers, Hunter figured out that his name was Cody. Cody was 11 years old, and he was friendly to everyone. But, Cody was a bit clumsy and not very athletic. So, Hunter decided to help him out.
While they were sitting on the bench, Hunter quietly wished for Cody's basketball skills to increase dramatically so that he could now play at the same level as all the other boys. Next, Hunter made Cody grow almost a foot taller, making him grow from 5 ft 6" to 6 ft 6" tall, without anybody noticing it! Next, Hunter made all of Cody's flab melt away, replacing it with solid muscle! Cody's stomach gained washboard abs, his pecs filled out and grew into large round spheres of muscle, and his biceps were like round soccer balls. Cody was now tall and muscular! Plus he had all the skills in order to play some mean basketball!
When the Coach blew his whistle he asked for Cody and Hunter to get back on the floor. This time, Cody was awesome! He was passing, dribbling and he was making all his shots! he was even making his free throws!
Hunter just smiled as he saw how Cody was playing, and he began to look around, feeling determined to help other kids using his powers. Who would he help next?
