The girls suddenly shrink even more.

Jodie dives for the gun. In a moment of panic, you knock it further away rather than grabbing it.
It flies off the grass and skitters along the concrete. Were it not for the music blasting around the pool, this certainly would've gotten the other guests' attention. You get to your feet, but Jodie is already running.
But her strides cover less and less ground with each step. She is rapidly shrinking.

You walk behind her, your casual walk approaching the same pace as her frantic sprint. She finally makes it to the gun and reaches for it.
With both arms.
Trying to lift it like a canon.
She is now 5.8 inches tall.
She frantically pulls at the barrel of the gun, but can barely keep it lifted for more than a few seconds. You stand there for a few seconds, casting a massive shadow over her tiny body. Even if it's all in vein, her efforts are admirable. She's trying so hard to position and fire a weapon the size of her body, genuinely convinced that she could wield the water gun. To your surprise, she actually managed to get it to an upright position, aimed at your leg and starts working on trying to push the trigger. You step to the side, out of the target path. Jodie tries to turn the gun barrel to follow you but ends up just tipping the gun over. She bear-hugs the gun, frantically trying to pull the trigger. You effortlessly reach down and scoop up the tiny girl and admire her in your grip. Her reddened face, still screaming a chorus of Fuck-You's and "change me back right now." Her hardest kicks and punches barely registered as a light tapping. Whether Jodie wants to acknowledge it or not, she is completely at your mercy.
