The rest of the work day is uneventful. While you do notice Lisa passing you by a few times, the standard routine is almost enough to make you forget about the odd encounter with Lisa before.
Though it’s in the back of your head, you’ve relaxed enough to not think about it. You get a request from one of the people over you to do some extra work, so you’re forced to stay a bit later (past when most of your coworkers leave), but even that doesn’t put a damper on your mood.
What does put a damper on your mood is the fact that, as you step out into the parking lot to head towards your car, you suddenly feel a sharp pain in the back of your head as you topple to the ground and pass out.
