As he fought to free himself, the bush shook back and forth. The leaves rustling, and the noise announcing his presence to anyone within earshot. He fought not to cry out, reminding himself of his isolation. His fear tightening with the reassurance of his privacy.
The dappled daylight, revealed a shadowy shape within the thick branches of the bush. The light showing the black infinite depths of far too many sparkling eyes. The spider that emerged was the size of a small dog, and far, far larger than any he'd ever seen before. A smallish dog with too many legs, and too many eyes. Draco wished he'd brought some kind of weapon, some blade to deal with the web, or the spider itself. Fear had Draco firmly in its grip, driving any thought of his wand utterly from his mind.
Whimpering, and freezing he tried to will the spider not to come any closer. It didn't work, as he felt the touch of it's first leg touching his own through the trousers. Other legs joined, as it came closer those pincers at his knee.
