You figured that the list might be too big for you to simply carry, but you should be able to get enough to last an extra week, if unlucky.
Stepping out of your apartment, you noticed that the hallways were in complete disarray, walls were cracked, some food wrappers scattered around, but you knew the janitorial crew made sure to keep it clean as much as possible. Taking the stairs, knowing barely anyone would take them, you silently made your way out and left to the grocery store,
The streets were bad, you could see that the infection had hit a large amount of the city's population, you could see people shambling their way to any source of food, some who got so big they barely could get up, you even saw a woman sleeping on the ground, her pants ripped on the sides and a shirt so tight that it rode up, showcasing her large belly for everyone to see.
As the walk continued on however, you began to worry that the grocery store may be overrun by the infected and with some of them trying to infect others, it is a worrying though, the news did disclose that infection is usually brought by contact from body fluids, mainly blood, sweat and saliva, or contaminated food samples. Regardless of the situation, you still walked at a brisk pace so as to conserve your energy.
As soon as you arrive at the grocery store, your suspicions were confirmed, there was a lot of infected making their way there as well, you rushed to the entrance and proceeded to go further in so as to avoid contact with them, you took as much as you could fit in your bag and tried to find an escape, given the chaotic situation in town, business isn't really existent anymore, in order to avoid painting a large target on you, you proceed to go through the back room and try to find an exit or possibly another surprise.
