"If I jump into this water, will you really tell me what I wanna know?" "Yeah, sure, whatever." "No! You gotta promise me that you'll tell me!" "Fine, fine, I promise." You turn around and look at the water. It looks normal enough, like water from any old pool. You really don't wanna go in there, but if it means learning what you need to know, then there's no other choice here...
You jump in, making a big splash and almost hitting Lyle with the water, almost. As you float to the top, nothing happens...so far. Lyle walks to the edge and crouches down to get a closer look on you. "Okay, I jumped into your dumb lab water, now tell me everything!" "Tsk, tsk, tsk, not yet I will..." You start feeling a strange sensation on you backside, neck, and fingertips. You feel your back and find a growing bulge underneath your pants! Your body suddenly feels numb, and you can't seem to move. "Wh-what's...happening?" you say, looking at Lyle. He starts smiling, sitting on the very edge of the pool, his feet submerged in the pool water. Unable to feel your body or move it, all you can do is float on the water's surface, watching Lyle smile at you as he splashes a bit with his feet.
When all feeling finally returns to you, you move around a bit, feeling another strange sensation. Your body seems normal, but there's also something about it that's not normal. "If you're confused about what happened, I suggest taking a better look at your body." You turn around in the water, trying to look at yourself. You see blue skin, a tail, webbed feet and hands...What the heck happened to you!? "Here." Lyle stretches out his hand, offering to pull you up. You decide to let him help you up, even though he didn't do much considering the fact that he's still sitting on the pool edge. You look at the rippling water, and almost make out a head...Wait, that's a shark's head! You touch your face and find it pointing down and in front of your face! You must've thought your nose in front of you was just the water. "What the? I'm...I'm a shark!" "That's right, at least, you're half a shark. You still have webbed hands and feet, and you're also capable of breathing in and out of water." You get the urge to bite his head off and rip the rest of his body into pieces. You try to control yourself, however, since he still hasn't told you what you wanted to know.
"Alright, now you'd better tell me right now, everything you know here, before I get impatient and bite off your arm!" "Hehehe, alright already. I'll tell you." He stands up in front of you, and begins walking around you. Your urge grows stronger and stronger, until you notice something. His feet, they were in the pool water the whole time, but it's still human! "Oh, you noticed? Heheh, I'm not gonna share my secret of course, but I will share Wil's secret about the cabin." Lyle walks to a chair and sits down. He invites you to a chair next to him, so you sit there. "What I'm about to tell you is strictly confidential. Don't tell Wil or Luke that I told you all of this. You see, Wil is looking for a new toy to play with, so we built this cabin to attract unsuspecting victims. The thing is, Wil is completely relentless when it comes to playing with toys, so they tend to...break after a while." You gulp after hearing the word break. If you were the newest toy, how did all the other toys break? "Anyway, some of us disapproved his idea, and they ended up...punished severely for it. Luke completely lost his emotions, and can only feel what Wil wants him to feel." "That's impossible! How can anyone lose their emotions?" "Well, Luke went through a traumatic experience when he spoke his mind to Wil, and ever since then, he's had that horrible cold air around him." You shudder at the mere mention of the sensation you felt when Luke was nearby. "So now, none of us have the courage to stand up to Wil, even if we were to join together. And, Luke was also turned into Wil's puppet, always following his directions. Only once or twice have I seen him question his command, or even ignore it completely. I think Luke still remembers how to feel for others, or something. Anyway, Luke is Wil's eyes and ears. That's all you need to know about him." You nod, understanding some of the things Lyle told you. "One last thing you do need to know. Wil likes to distort reality a lot, so he wants us to enjoy morphing the toys' body a lot. And the change I've done is turn you into an anthropomorphic shark. And besides, if we don't do our jobs, he'll punish us until we do it. I don't plan on having to go through it again, believe me." Lyle stands up and jumps into the pool. "Hey! What are you doing!? That water'll turn you into whatever!" "Nah, it doesn't work on me!" You remember his feet again. "I suggest you go now! Or someone will check up on you!" You stand up and look at yourself. Your pants are torn, but that's all the damaged that's been done. You head to the doors, and look back to see Lyle coming out of the pool, still human. As you head inside the cabin, you're unsure of what to do next.
