At The police station, I got out of the car. And anxiously went inside with the officer.
"Here have a seat while I go talk with the others about this, do you want anything? Soda or juice?"
"No, thank you officer"
At that he walked away. The department building was pretty busy today with many police officers coming in and out of the building. It will be impossible to escape the building with it being in the state that it was in today. They would spot me leaving. I guess I'm done for.
As I was waiting the police officer who had brought me here came out of a room with a member of the Intel department.
"You really think it could be her? He held up a picture looking at it"
"I think so It has to be, her story matches up. I have already notified relatives that she has been finally found"
They told me to go in a room and have a seat. After which they explained that they found out who I was.
"Little Girl, are you Sadie Lane?"
They showed me a picture of a little girl who looked almost exactly like this body.
"Yes... that's me" I had to think quick.
"Well you have been missing for a year, your grandmother will be happy that we found you. You match up with a missing person's case involving a disappeared family where the father and mother suddenly left their house In Florida with their 7 year old daughter."
"We have bought a plane ticket to take you to Florida so that you can live with your Grandmother. The flight leaves today"
I can't go to Florida, If I do then I won't be able to come back home panic set in at this moment of helplessness.
As we left it was already sunset and getting to be night time. The drive to the airport took about 30 minutes.
