I found myself not having to look so far down at my anthromorphic friend. But... how? She was only 5 feet... Right?
"Hey, Rachel."
"Yes Erik?"
"Did you just get... taller?" This question causes her to stop in her tracks, before bursting out into laughter.
"Oh... good one." She says as she calms down, "but you know I've been 5'4" for a while now."
"But, I thought you were 5' only." I said. She suddenly lurches up in height again, nearing my own. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
"Five feet. How can you miss 7" on me?"
"7 inches, but I thought you just said you were 5'4"!" I say, how could she not notice this?!
"I haven't been 5'4" for a few years now Erik. I'm 5'11", are you feeling alright?" She asked as she grows again, now I was looking up at her, as I was only six feet. I give up, it's obvious she thinks she will be the same height.
"Yeah. I... guess I'm just hearing things." I lied.
"Okay. Remember, I'm 6'3"..." She grew again. "I'll say again, 6'5". One more time." She said as she grows yet again. "6'8", you got it?" She asks as she grows once more. I think I see now, every time she says her height, she grows.
"Yes, I got it, but, maybe, just one more time, for clarity." I said, wanting to be sure I was right.
"Alright... I'm 6'10"." She said as she grew again, I was right. "I'll say now last time. I'm 7'4". Think you can remember now?" She said with one final growth spurt, now around 7'9".
"Yeah, I got it." I said.
"That a boy!" She said as she rustled my hair. She suddenly picked me up then, carrying me like a bride. "Now onwards!" She yelled as she ran much faster than I could ever.
