"So then, now what are we going to do?" Jesse asked.
"Yeah, how are we going to change back?" Mindy asked. "I don't want to be a boy!"
"And I don't want to be a girl!" Syrus said.
"Lets all just try and stay calm for now." Alexis said. "Freaking out isn't going to help us figure anything out."
"Alexis is right." Jaden agreed. She then held up the strange blank card, still in her hand. "This card somehow did this to us, so maybe it can change us back."
"Okay, but how do we make it work again?" Chazz asked. "Because you just holding out that thing isn't turning on the light show again."
"Hes got a point." Yubel said. "I still sense something strange about the card, but it feels different now. 'Smaller,' somehow."
"Well, I say we should try to find out more about that card." Hassleberry suggested.
"It is our only clue for now." Blair said. "So we might as well investigate into it."
"Its not like theres anything else we can do about this mess right now." Jasmine said. "But how are we gonna look into things?"
"Thats a good question..." Alexis said. "We don't really know where to start."
Jaden thought for a moment. 'Maybe I could ask Professor Banner.' "Well, lets head back to my room for a moment."
"Huh? How come?" Chazz asked.
"Well, I figured maybe we could look into this by asking Professor Banner." she explained.
"Well, that might be a place to start." Alexis said. And with that, the group of nine gender swapped teens made their way to the red dorm.
As they did, most of the the new girls were having a bit of difficulty walking in their new footwear. Jaden, Chazz, Jesse, and Syrus were all unaccustomed to walking in footwear with heels, and they tripped more than a few times. Hassleberry snickered at their difficulty. Lucky enough for her, only the size of her shoes had changed, leaving her without the same problem. "Man, how do girls walk in these things?" Chazz complained.
"Well, you get used to it." Jasmine replied.
"Well, I'd rather not get used to it." Syrus said with a sigh. This thing was all so weird. Suddenly being a girl and all that came with it. The clothes, the body, and all. She still wasn't used to her new, higher-pitched voice. She really disliked how much like a young girl she sounded like.
"Man, this is so weird..." Jesse said, once again giving her new breasts a few pokes. "These things are way too big."
"You know, if I wasn't so worried about suddenly being a boy, I might normally be really jealous of Jesse." Mindy whispered to Alexis, Jasmine and Blair.
"It is pretty annoying. Hes a boy, and yet hes got breasts like that." Blair agreed. "But like you said, I'm more worried about changing back."
Eventually, the group all reached the red dorm, and headed up to Jaden's room to check for Pharaoh. Unfortunately, it didn't look like he was there. "Lets all look for him." Alexis said.
"I hope it just doesn't take too long to find that cat." Chazz complained.
As they all looked around the room, Jaden found something that caught her attention. They were a pair of photos that she kept, both from the last days of the school year from the previous two years. However, there was something much different about them. The first picture had been taken for Zane's graduation at the end of his first year after their match, and in it had been her, Zane, Syrus, Alexis, Chazz, Bastion, Atticus, Jasmine, and Mindy. In it was still all the aforementioned people, but rather than as she remembered, there was a variety of differences, chiefly among them being that other than Zane, Atticus, and Bastion, they were all a different gender, the ones that they now were. The photo was now her and Syrus, who was wearing a red version of the usual female uniform, standing with Zane and Atticus, with her and Syrus both at the forefront. Nearby were the male Alexis, Jasmine and Mindy, the latter two whom had been standing close to Atticus as they fawned over him in the original, their new male forms now stood laughing at the male Alexis, who appeared to be flustered by something. On the other side was Chazz and Bastion. The other picture was from the previous year, with similar differences, with all of them in the picture now the opposite gender, though Jesse wasn't in it, as they didn't know her then.
"Uh, guys, you might want to take a look at these..." he said as he held out the pictures for everyone else to see.
"What the...?" Syrus let out as he looked at the picture.
"Why do we look like this in those pictures?" Mindy asked.
"You don't think..." Alexis let out.
"Think what?" Jasmine asked.
"That when that card did this, it might have also somehow altered reality to make it seem like we were always that way." she explained.
"What but thats gotta be impossible!" Blair said.
"Well, about as impossible as turning somebody into the opposite gender." Jesse said. "'Sides, we've seen some crazy stuff before."
"Hes got a point." Chazz said.
Mindy sighed. "Things just keep getting worse..."
"Hmmm..." Jaden out as he inspected the room some more. He came to a pile of papers, some past school assignments. They were his, but written on it was the name 'Jadey Yuki' instead of 'Jaden.' Nearby were where Chazz, Jesse, Syrus, and Hassleberry had left theirs, the five of them having done their homework together the other night. The names on those were instead 'Chassidy Princeton,' 'Jessie Anderson,' 'Sydney Truesdale,' 'Tyranna Hassleberry.' "Alexis might be right. Check these out." he said, showing the papers to them.
"So then, as far as everyone else knows, we really have always been like this..." Blair said.
"It sure looks that way." Hassleberry said.
"Now what are we going to do? We can't really get anyone else to help us if they think we've always been like this." Syrus said.
"Maybe we should go to class for now. Its going to be starting soon." Alexis said. "I mean, its not like we have any other ideas for now."
"I say we should just keep looking into this." Chazz said. "This is a bit more important than class for now. The sooner we get back to normal, the better."
The group then exited the room as they stood outside to think about their situation, and what to do next. As they did, Blair started to walk away. "Hey Blair, where are you off to?" Hassleberry asked.
"Well, I'm gonna check my room real quick while we're here." he replied, and Hassleberry, Syrus, Jasmine and Mindy decided to follow, leaving Jaden, Alexis, Chazz, and Jesse to talk about what to do next. Walking over to it, she opened it, and inside he found that it had greatly changed. For one, it now looked like there was a second person staying there instead of just him. Checking where he kept his schoolwork, he saw that the name that he seemed to go by was now 'Blaine Flannigan.'
"Hey guys, check this out." Jasmine said, calling the others over.
"What did you find?" Blair asked.
"Well, I think your new room mate is Mindy, or as this paper seems to call her, 'Mikey'" Jasmine said, holding up a paper that had Mindy's surname, but the first name was just as Jasmine had said. Nearby the papers were a few photos that showed the trio of male forms of Jasmine, Mindy, and Alexis. There was even some notes that she had borrowed from Alexis and Jasmine, or 'Alex' and "Jazz.'
"Well, I guess that does make sense. She is wearing a red uniform now." Hassleberry said. "And at least we're learning our new names."
"How reassuring..." Mindy said sarcastically.
"Anyway, lets get back to the others." Syrus said. As they exited the room, they found the others waiting outside.
"Well, we talked it over, and decided what to do now." Jaden said.
"Well? Whats the plan?" Blair asked.
