If that fat nerd thinks the 30 pounds I put on in two weeks isn't enough... I'll outgrow him! Homer decided with an even firmer determination than ever before
Homer had realized that to beat Comic Book Guy he'd need to find a way to work less and still get more food. Walking to his car he'd been stuck parking down the street a bit he saw Krusty Burger and came up with an idea. He still had the house which was paid off... what if he mortgaged it again and bought out the Krusty Burger franchise in town? He'd have free food and a steady income of what profits he wasn't eating not to mention he knew Comic Book Guy was a regular customer so he'd be getting a profit from his rival.
It took about a week but Homer was able to arrange the financing and even called in a favor with Krusty who owed Bart for the countless times he'd saved the klown's butt to endorse the deal. Homer's new restaurant was given instruction to keep any returned or mistaken orders which Homer would come by and eat every couple of hours through the day on top of his "meals". Finding the milkshakes could be enhanced to get him even fatter the "lard drains" of the grill were now collected and the fatty slop contents mixed into the newly patented "Homer Shakes".
The weeks rolled by and Homer grew steadily adding new fat day after day. He knew Comic Book Guy would regularly show up during only certain times of the day such as the lunch hour when he closed his comic shop, within a few minutes of closing the store and often for a third late night run of junk food and had made sure to avoid any interactions until he was at a comparable, preferably noticeably bigger weight than Comic Book Guy. and made a point to avoid him. However one fateful day while Homer sat in the manager's office, a small desk space he was rapidly starting to fill to capacity he heard the voice of his nemesis and decided to come out and reintroduce himself. Proudly patting a gut that had managed to add at least two, more often three pounds a day in body fat for the last four months he let his new paunch lead the way to the register when he finally saw Comic Book Guy...
