"Heeeeey Doggy..." tom said in a lazy, quiet voice as he started to absentmindly suck his thumb to sell his point.
"Thats right." Spike said, keeping his arm prospectively around the cat's shoulders. "I bet you're a hungry boy too, probably been outta few days."
