Considering whether what the ten year old girl had just said to me is true, I noticed a familiar look in her eyes. At that moment, I realized that she was telling the truth. I knew that it was impossible, but she had the same look in her eye that my friend had. "Bryony! Is that really you!?"
Bryony let out a sigh of relief. "Yes! So you get it now?"
I nodded, but the moment of joy quickly turned into coming to grips of the realization. "But what happened to you?"
"I don't know," I notice a tiny tear drip from her eye, "I just woke up like this! I don't want to be like this! This is way too scary!"
Unwilling to see Bryony reduced to this, I tried my best to settle her down. "Don't worry. I'm sure that everything will be alright!"
"No it won't! I don't like being ten! I don't like looking up at everyone!" Bryony slightly began to cry, which put me in a state of panic.
"Okay, okay, okay," I tried to reassure her, "I'll help you out."
Bryony sniffed and wiped the tears from her eyes. "You will?"
"Sure. That's what friends are for, right? Firstly we'll have to find the source."
"What source? I just told you that I just woke up like this!"
"Come on Bryony, think! You woke up like this, but think back. What did you do last night? What did you do recently?"
"I don't know! I can't remember! How can I concentrate like this!?"
"Come on! Did something strange happen last night? Or did something strange occur overnight?"
Bryony tried her best to remember. I could see the look of concentration in her face. I wanted to help her out so much, but I knew that I couldn't help her out in any way until she can give me any clues to how this regression occurred.
Then she began to remember. "Well...I did have some of this new drink before bed...I remember feeling a bit weird as I lay in bed, but that's about it?"
With anticipation, I asked her another question. "What was the drink?"
"I think it was called Youth Juice or something."
That confirmed it. I knew what the source was. It had to be whatever this drink was. "Youth Juice?" I asked, "What kind of a drink is Youth Juice?"
"It's new. It looks a lot like spring water, but it tastes horrible. I only had a sip of it." Suddenly a realization came to Bryony, who then gasped. "Do you think that could be the source?"
"I think so. But weren't you a little suspicious about it?"
"How was I supposed to know? I read the advertisement for it. It said that it would make you appear more youthful. How was I supposed to know that I'd end up six years younger!?"
"Do you still have it?"
"Yeah, it's in the fridge."
Without hesitation I stormed into the kitchen and opened the fridge. I scanned the interior and spotted a small bottle with the title "Youth Juice" inscribed on the side. I picked up the bottle and shut the fridge door. I held the bottle in line with my eyes and read the inscriptions for further details. As I did so, I noticed Bryony following me into the kitchen. "Did you know that it was made from the Fountain of Youth?" I asked her.
"I thought that was a metaphor," she explained, but I knew that it wasn't her fault, so I continued reading.
"Well?" She asked curiously, anticipating a reply from me.
