Where you might find the Hokage

"Tell me, good sir," you say to the sentry, a young man with dark spiky hair and bandages running over the bridge of his nose, "Where might one find your Hokage, at this time of day? I wish to speak to her."

The young man eyes you oddly, the smallest hint of suspicion evident in the glint of his eyes. Not that you could blame him, of course.

"What's your business with her?" his companion asked, sounding rather bored, in contrast with the first.

You smile enigmatically. "I daresay it is more a matter of pleasure than business," you say, "if you'll understand my meaning."

The first sentry cocks an eyebrow at you, perhaps reading too much -- or too little -- into your answer, but the second one shrugs and waves you on through. You nod politely to both, then pass through the gate into the Village proper.

As an afterthought, it would seem, the first sentry calls after you, "The Hokage's office is in the tower, you can't miss it. I wouldn't talk like that to her face, though, if I were you."

You smile and wave nonchalantly, before making your way down the main street to the center of the village, where the Hokage Tower rose above the other buildings like a watchful sentinel, standing tall and silent.
