"Helloo-oo, Tina," Louise calls to you as you walk into the school. The other girls are with her, obviously anxious to get the plan started.
"Tina?" you question, walking up to them.
"It makes the most sense," Susan explains.
"I suggested just using 'Toni" with an i," Amy comments. "It's easy to remember."
Rolling her eyes, Rachel sighes, "Like anyone would know it had an 'i.' Hi, Toni with an i," she says mockingly.
Amy pouts and looks at her feet.
"OK. Tina sounds good to me," you offer. "I was wondering how I should react. I don't think I should just outright accept it; but if I get angry and push back, others might think it's just your name for me and not see me change."
"That would be interesting. Too bad we don't have two guys to work this on," Louise giggles.
"I think you can just ignore us calling you Tina. If others ask you, you can say it doesn't bother you or feels alright. That leads you and them into the acceptance part," Susan suggests.
"Makes sense," you agree. "I guess I'd better start ignoring you then." you joke and walk off to class wondering how the day will go.
