"Alright mom, I'm coming down" Chiku-Ne's voice called down the stairs. The rumbling coming down it was an indication of the girl's descent.
"Got everything? I mean, you're going to summer camp for three weeks, don't want you to forget your br-"
"Mom! Don't say thats,its embarrassing!" Chiku replied back. Smiling at Chiku, Momma Chiku hugged her daughter. She was going to the junior Squirrels camp this year, already doing the freshmen and sophomore additions, soon she would near completing her "squirrel" training. Her baby was growing up so fast right now. Letting her go, Momma Chiku let her daughter travel outside the house,she followed to see her off. The Bus was coming in a few minutes.
"You sure you don't need bigger pants? They seem kinda tight on you."
"HUH! Is my mother, my own mother, implying that I finally have curves?" Chiku said in a shocked tone. She twirled and put her hand over her eyes. The pair laughed, Momma Chiku always said Chiku would be a late bloomer. That was her experience when she was younger, but it seemed like it would never come for Chikue-Ne, why would it now?
"Alright, I love you dear. Now remember to write back home."
"I will"
The horn of the bus alerted the duo to its presence, with one final wave, Chiku ran off. Her mother smiled and closed the front door. Chiku excitedly ran by the slowing bus, something familiar popped out the window.
"Chiku-Neeeee!"
"Samanthaaaa!"
The head in the window smiled at Chiku, her blonde hair blowing in her face. The bus finally stopped at the designated area, Chiku breathed heavily from the running. Stretching a little, she got on, it was still sorta of empty of campers. Her little scene didn't disturb any of the girls that were present. Samantha motioned over to Chiku, who graciously walked over to her. Sitting down,Chiku and Samantha talked to one another.
"Ready for an unforgettable summer camp?"
"Why wouldn't I?"
The bus closed its doors and drove off. Chiku and Samantha talking about the time ahead of them. It would be an unforgettable summer, but not in a way that Chiku would've hoped.
