This choice: They find out Cameron's suitcase got put on the wrong plane • Go Back...Chapter #4They find out Cameron's suitcase got put on... by: DragonFish As the Brewer family stood by the baggage claim, suitcases rolled past on the conveyor belt, passengers grabbing their luggage one by one. Anna and Christina quickly spotted their bags and pulled them off the carousel. Their mom grabbed hers soon after. Cameron, however, kept scanning the line of bags, waiting for his to appear.
A few more minutes passed, and his suitcase was nowhere to be seen.
"Are you sure you put the right tag on it?" Christina asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes, I'm sure," Cameron replied, though a small pit of worry formed in his stomach.
"Well, it's not here," Anna pointed out.
Helen sighed. "Alright, let's check with the airline." She led the way to the baggage service counter, where they were met with a middle-aged woman who looked like she had dealt with one too many luggage complaints today.
"How can I help you?" she asked in a neutral tone.
"My son’s suitcase didn’t come out with the rest of the luggage," Helen explained. "It should’ve been on our flight from Atlanta."
The airline worker typed something into her computer, her expression not changing as she read the screen. "Looks like it was accidentally loaded onto a flight to New York," she said matter-of-factly.
Cameron's stomach dropped. "Wait, what?!"
"It'll be rerouted, but unfortunately, the soonest it can get here is the day after tomorrow."
Cameron groaned. "So what am I supposed to do until then? All my clothes are in there!"
Helen frowned, thinking. "We'll just have to buy you some new clothes for the time being."
Anna smirked. "Or… you could just borrow some of mine."
Cameron shot her a glare. "Not funny, Anna."
She giggled. "Oh, I think it's hilarious."
Helen rolled her eyes. "Let's just get to the hotel first, and then we'll figure things out."
Cameron sighed, already dreading whatever solution his family was going to come up with. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
