After rising from her bonbon-induced nap a few hours later, Molotov was keenly aware that she was no longer alone in her home.
Unfortunately, her intruder had a knife to her throat before Molotov could do anything else but become aware of the threat.
Harsh breathing indicated a long, tough, journey and when Molotov moved her eyes upwards, she gasped.
"Kitty?!"
"Surprised to see me?"
"I-I thought all the Black Hearts were dead, killed by Sempson and his family."
"Not all. I managed to fly out of there and land before the serum that turned me into a freak wore off. Then I heard you were still around too. So I'm here for my money."
"My accounts are a bit tied up at the moment Kitty but I'll allow you to stay here if you agree to cook for me. I recall from your file that you were quite the chef."
Kitty removed the blade and normally, Molotov would have killed her then but she was honest about the offer.
"I'll double your salary from the Monstroso job."
That did it and Kitty was soon shaking her hand. "Sorry about the knife. I'm a bit jumpy what from turning into a bug creature and nearly getting gutted by your former boyfriend."
"It is fine, but would you mind making us something to eat? I am starving!"
Kitty nodded, noting the pooch Molotov had around her middle but not really minding it.
Even Molotov deserved a break from their line of work.
