Chapter #5
Practice makes perfect
by: Unknown
Jason closed the front door behind him. The walk to the park was always a long, but leisurely one. His family lived in the higher class neighborhood of whatever county they lived in. So things like crime never was an issue. He walked along the tall leafy trees that led down the sidewalk and is located within every street. The friendly neighbors greeted by waving at Jason. His mother kind of made him a big deal when he came into the picture years ago. Yet, unless these neighbors gave out cool Christmas gifts or whole chocolate bars for Halloween. He didn't care much about them one bit.
Cold, he knew. But a kid likes what a kid likes.
Jason looked up at the street sign, "McManeryberry? Still got a long walk to go."
At his feet, a frisbee skid to a halt. He picked it up, looking around for it's owner, "Hey! Kid! Over here!" Jason turns to the source of the voice to see a guy waving his arm, "Think you can toss it over here?" Jason took a deep breath, he wasn't the best at throwing, as indicated by his peers at school, but he oughta try. He curled his arm then whipped the frisbee as hard as he could. At a moment's glance, the frisbee had already lowered toward the ground. Jason knew what to do. He used his powers to keep the frisbee levitated. Amazingly enough, the frisbee had made it back into the arms of that guy.
"Sweet throw, bro! Wanna join this sick party?"
"Well..." Jason tapped his cheek. He's been to plenty parties before. End of the school year parties, birthday parties, slumber parties, Christmas parties. He, however, has never heard of or been to a sick party.
