Part of your research was learning about the various powers that could potentially threaten you. You researched the Sidhe both the Summer and Winter courts. They were quite dangerous and you resolved to try not to get into any encounters with them. You learned about the Fallen Angels trapped within coins - The Denarians. Based on your research you figured you could handle the lesser ones handily. Some of the more ancient hosts may be beyond your league - at least based on your current abilities.
Your researched the other courts as well. And that was when you saw the image of the presumed head of the White Court - Laura Raith. The White Council knew she was the power behind the White King. **Authors Note - taking liberty here but its possible Warden Dresden leaked the info in his report or Warden Luccio did - either way I'm going with it here). *** Like all White Court Vampires she was beautiful. But for you it was something more. The attraction was instant and ran deeper then just physical looks. As you gazed upon her perfection it was like your soul had found its calling. You yearned to be with this woman, no you yearned to serve this woman. This Goddess of perfection replaced your obsession with magic instantly.
She was greater than the sum of her parts. Yes her black as night dark slightly curly hair was the picture of perfection. Yes her creamy skin made silk seem rough, yes her legs seemed to travel endlessly displaying that luscious pale flesh that the White Court was known for. Yes it was all that but it was also more. Her grey eyes seem look out at you from her file. Like she could see within your soul. Shaking yourself you stepped away from your desk.
Was this a spell? A glamour? Was someone casting an enchantment on you? You rechecked your wards and then did a careful sweep with your third eye. Nothing was out of the ordinary except that your pulse pounded and you had also felt your manhood rise. Shaking yourself you paced the room. How could a picture have such an impact on you? You looked at it again and felt your legs quiver. You wanted to fall on your knees and proclaim your everlasting devotion to this Goddess. You stared at her and something in your mind clicked. This was why you existed. To serve her, to be with her, to help her achieve whatever goals and dreams she desired. You would make her priorities your own. You would love her.
You went back to the task of researching the White Court. You also booked a flight to America. If you were going to be with Laura Raith- the Queen of the White Court you needed to be where she was. And that was currently Chicago in the Raith estates that they held. Unlike other wizards you had made an accommodation with technology. By creating a custom ward you could actually seal your magical energies within a small bubble around you. It did make you vulnerable because your sense couldn't quest out however it did allow to use modern devices such as computers and allow you to fly in airplanes without risking the entire flight. As you did your research you started to plan how you should go about meeting the woman of your dreams...
