'What's say we check out that gift basket?' Megan suggested, 'I missed breakfast, I'm gonna die over here if I don't get some food in me.'
Alice looked back over to the basket as it sat (mostly) undisturbed, visible from her position on the Megan's room. In all the excitement of meeting Megan and aiding her busty roommate unpack, she had totally forgotten about the tempting wicker basket filled with pamper-prone delights. She had been so hopeful that Megan hadn't caught her downing chocolates like a little piggy; her head slunk down between her shoulders slightly at the mention of her little slip.
'Sounds good to me.' Alice said with a sheepish smile as she headed out the door.
She stepped inside of her room long enough to get a grasp around the handle before heading out again in one long motion. Back in the common area, Megan had relocated to the living room couch. Lazily thrusting herself upon the couch, the busty redhead sprawled out with a great groan.
'Ugh, I hate having to do this every year.' Megan complained as she hung her head back to get an upside-down view of her skinny new roomie, 'I don't know why they just don't let us keep the same dorms.'
'You switch rooms every year?' Alice asked not really out of interest or of disbelief, but more of a way to keep the healthy conversation between the two of them going.
'Yeah, well we can switch every semester if we want to.' Megan explained as Alice took her seat in the loveseat opposite the couch, 'Like, a month into the semester we can ask for a roommate exchange. But who you get stuck with after that is all you've got 'til next semester.'
'Jeez' well let's hope you won't have to switch me out for someone else, huh?' Alice said with a friendly smile as she offered the basket to the busty upperclassman
'I probably won't, I've never swapped roomies with anyone.' Megan said simply as she grabbed hold of the wicker handle, 'Like I said before, moving sucks.'
'Yeah, well, after today I might just agree with you.' Alice chuckled
'Oh freakin' A!' Megan exclaimed as she rummaged through the stocked basket of goodies, 'Man I love these things!' she said excitedly as she pulled out three unfamiliarly wrapped treats from the basket, 'You freshmen get all the luck. Wait 'til you want some more though, you gotta pay for 'em.'
'Help yourself.' Alice said in a friendly tone, much to the delight of the carrot-topped connoisseur. Secretly Alice was a little happy to be rid of the things, whatever they were. Less temptation, less chance of coming back Mel-sized by Christmas.
'Thanks, but don't expect me to save you one.' Megan said with a wicked grin, 'Your loss, these things are great. I haven't had a free one since I was a NewBee. Been hooked ever since.'
Alice resisted the urge to draw any connection between Megan's engorged sweaterstuffers and being 'hooked' on something that didn't look all too good for you. At least aloud anyway. As Megan unwrapped her first package, which looked to contain some kind of fruit pie, Alice couldn't help but watch as a droplet of gooey yellow fell from the pie and onto Megan's shelf-like upper half; marring the plain white tank top.
'So'' Alice whistled in an attempt to keep the conversation going (and away from food) 'How long have you been here, Megan?' she asked, 'I mean, just wondering.'
The busty roommate swallowed, 'Oh, I'd say about'
