The first thing Tamera saw when she entered the party, was a top-heavy brunette chugging a bottle of Vodka while a circle of girls cheered her on.
"CHUG! CHUG! CHUG! CHUG!" The crowd screamed.
The brunette finished the bottle off, and released a triumphant belch. This elicited a massive cheer from the crowd and multiple high five's for the brunette. The whole scene threw Tamera off her game. She had seen some pretty crazy parties back home, she even had a reputation as a wild girl back in Indy, but she wasn't prepared for this. She had been expecting a very quiet and quaint party, where the most exciting part of the evening would be a game of monopoly. Not this.
Everywhere Tamera looked, she saw something that surprised her. To her left was a group of girls, all probably drunk, performing new dances they saw in Juicy J music video's. To her right was a couch full of fatties passing around a blunt, all of them mindlessly laughing while they watched cartoons on a flat screen. And in front of her was the largest collection of food she had ever seen! And what was even more surprising was the way the girls were eating the food. Some of them didn't even bother with plates or forks, instead they just jammed food into their mouth with their hands. The whole scene knocked Tamera off balance.
"You okay sweetie." Joe asked, with a look of concern. "It's okay if your overwhelmed, not everyone is cut out for WASP parties."
"Nah, I'm fine." Tamera replied. "Just sorta surprised. I'm good."
Tamera, overwhelmed with the hedonism surrounding her, made her way to the buffet table. Tamera wasn't comfortable with drinking or smoking, at least not on the first day of school, so she didn't partake in any mood altering substances. Tamera hung around the buffet, making small talk for about an hour before she heard a loud noise.
"Hey there!" someone said.
Tamera scanned the room to see where the voice was coming from, and saw that it came from a short bottom heavy blond.
"Hey there girl!" said the blonde. "I can see you've been enjoying the food."
"Wait.. what?" Tamera asked, puzzled. She looked down at her stomach, and realized it was quite round. Tamera had been mindlessly eating for the past hour, and it definitely showed. "Yeah, I guess so. Who are you by the way?"
"The names Jessica, I heard you were a friend of Joe. So I just had to introduce myself!"
"Yeah, me and Joe are roommates."
"Lucky, I was her roommate last year. Watch out though, hanging out with Joe is dangerous for your waistline." Jessica said, cheerfully.
"That makes a lot of sense." Tamera replied, remembering the large batch of cookies Joe had brought to the room. "But don't worry, I'm sure I have alot of will power."
"Sure ya do sweetie." Jessica said skeptically, eyeing Tamera's bloated belly. "Anyway's, how are you enjoying the party."
"It's pretty crazy in here." Tamera replied. "But it's a lot of fun."
"I don't know how you can say that, you've been standing next to the food for the past hour! Come on, live a little!"
"You know what, you're right." Tamera said, regaining her confidence. "Just let me finish this slice of pizza first..."
