"How are you, sweetie?" the physician asks her. The patronizing.tone of voice used and the question itself does nothing but anger Helen. She has to restrain herself to not rudely shout.
"I'm a grown woman." Helen whines with a cute voice. Instead of backing off, though, the physician suppresses a smirk, as if trying not to laugh.
"I'm sorry. It's just that you don't appear to be any older than six." Helen's mind goes on pause for a second, trying to figure how anyone can come to that mistaken conclusion.
"I'm not six!" Her voice starts breaking from annoyance. "I have ___ kid(s) older than that."
