She has to eat the bearers of the elements

Celestia felt herself sadden at the thought. She would have to bind the Elements back to her in order to ensure that Discord was never free again. But to do that she would have...ingest the current bearers. In doing so, they would become part of her and thus the Elements would allow her to use them once again.

The princess of the sun didn't want to do this but she knew she had no choice. She tried to focus on the more positive side of things. In a way, Twilight and her friends would never truly be gone and they would in a sense, continue to protect Equestria.

Now, all Celestia had to do was decide how she would do this.
