Joan Ford went to bed shortly after having made her wish. She slept a deep dreamless sleep.

The sun rose on the Ford home the next morning. Joan was sound asleep, curled up in a ball in the corner of the living room. Down the hall, in the Master Bedroom, Buster was curled up under the sheets.
