Randy made his way into the kitchen, and found his mother shambling around, placing cereals and bowls onto the table in the middle of the room.
“Good Morning Mom” he said cheerfully as she reached into the fridge and pulled out the milk and carton of juice.
“Morning” she grunted as she dumped them unceremoniously onto the tabletop. Randy looked her over, something didn’t seem quite right to him. She was walking around with her robe wide open, in just her underwear.
“Is everything ok?” He asked, not noticing that he straightened his own robe a little tighter around his chest.
“Just a little tired this morning” Joan replied as she placed her cup of coffee onto the table, “could you put some toast on while I go and get your sister?” She added as she half walked, half shambled past him towards the stairs.
Randy watched her as she left the room, shaking his head as she lifted up the back of her robe and scratched her rear. He placed four slices of bread into the toaster, then sat down at the table and took a small sip from the coffee without realising.
‘What am I doing’ he thought to himself, before pushing the mug away and pouring himself a glass of juice as he heard his mother coming back down the stairs with his sister.
