Free the slaves

Seras shot with a careful eye and intent to free the slaves and her efforts proved fruitful. The gnolls didn’t notice the freedom of their slaves as they started moving towards their prey thinking her shots had gone high. She watched as the slaves started to flee, cutting themselves free with crossbow bolts they quickly made a breakaway. It was a risk waiting on shooting the gnolls but she wanted to give the slaves a chance to run if she could. Finally, she started unloading her arsenal into the band of gnolls causing them to start to turn back to regroup.

A smile formed on her face as they realized their slaves were escaping from their custody. The group hesistated with indecision costing them badly as she hoped. They were barking at each other in there canine-like language under her withering fire, most likely debating what to do. The pile of bodies their companions had formed into a wall was flimsy but Seras left them behind it for the moment as she reloaded her weapons.

She took a drink of water to counter the dehydration of the intense activity, and watched what the group was up to. They appeared to be planning to run after the escaping as they were edging away from her as one kept watch waiting for the chance to run. Seras did a quick count to see how many of them were left and figure there were around a dozen still remaining around. It was a much better number to deal with but still very dangerous if they charged her. Gnolls weren’t very good at ranged combat but they were extremely dangerous at close range with weapons and deadly jaws.

The gnolls rushed away, seeking the easier target of the weaponless slaves but Seras made sure not all of them would make it. She needed to decide what to do next, she wanted to continue on her journey because she wasn’t being paid for any of this and was expending a lot of valuable resources but it was likely the gnolls would catch up to the slaves if she let things go without interferring. Maybe she could help this once without having it hurt her reputation as a heartless individual too much. Perhaps she could get some money from any loot they were carrying to make it worth her time to act the hero or maybe she could just take joy in the chance to kill some real monsters.

You have the following choices:
