...the kid with goggles finally catches up!

Just as Kat's about to pull me into the 'classroom'. I hear someone behind me
"Hey!" Kat and you both look to the source of the noise. He seemed winded as he caught up to you, taking a few moments to get his breath back. At least Kat had stopped, for now. He looked up and almost fell backwards when he saw Kat beside me. "Kat! You found the new kid?"
"No, he ran into me." She said simply. Now that you looked him over the feature that stood out on him most would be his goggles. Then again it might be his backpack seeing as you thought you heard it chuckle, to which the kid elbowed it. What was with him?
"Oh, well our class in right here so we can..." He said before noticing that we were closer to the storage room. He smirked. "Tsk tsk Kat, didn't we have a talk about this?" She froze as he said that and moved you further away. What he said interested you, why was she getting so defensive?
"I don't know what you're talking about..." She said quietly
"Oh come on you've been talking about finding someone. Bet you planned to bump..."
"Oh will you look at the time we don't want to be late!" She said dragging you into class while you heard the kid snigger.
"Watch out man, she can be rough." He said following in behind you before Kat dragged you over to a row of desks and dumped you next to her. You noticed that he sat next to you and whistled innocently as Kat gave him a death stare that chilled you. Then you noticed the kid in the bear suit from before charge into the room. Wasn't he too young to be in your class? Maybe he was put ahead a year, then again with that bear suit...
"RAWWWWWWWWWWW, Teddies here!" He said cheerfully before skipping to the front of the class, a row in front of you. Good god when did he last wash that thing? No, scratch that, when did he last take it off? This day just seemed to be getting better and better. You've had an a girl with Amazonian strength dragging you around to do god knows what, then a kid with a laughing backpack warns you that she's 'rough'. Now you had the hyperactive mascot sitting in front of you, what amazing luck. Just when you think it can't get any worse with the mounting tension between the two on either side of you, 'Teddie' turns around!
"Ooooh hey! You're that new kid right? You charged past me when I was welcoming you!" He said with a humph.
"Yeah... sorry about that, i thought I was going to be late." You said sheepishly making him smile.
"Oh, don't worry about it then. I know how that can feel but I never let up a chance to raise team spirit!" He says with that same cheerful tone. You desperatly wanted out of this situation right now.
"Yeah... right." You say hoping to end the conversation. Then he looks at the kid beside you.
"Hey Jack! How's it going?" He said with an oblivious smile.
"Pretty good Teddie." He said ending the conversation as soon as it started. You got the impression that he didn't like Teddie very much,
"Hey Kat!" He said drawing her attention away from Jack for the first time. "What's going on?" He looked confused, maybe it was from how sheepish you were when you talked to him. You don't know.
"Nothing much, just Jackass here being his usual self." She said with a smirk. This was getting heated and you didn't want to be caught in the crossfires. Teddie wasn't exactly helping either.
"Good morning class!" You heard a voice shout from up front, finally driving the two beside you silent. You prayed your teacher would be someone normal for once in this day...
