Eventually, Colin grew bored of McLaggen and casually knocked him to the floor with a cruel laugh before strutting away with his large muscles. Before long, Cormac scurried off to his dorm room to be alone.
He then curled up into a ball and started to cry.
Why did the halfbloods and muggleborns have to be so cruel, he thought, just because they were naturally larger and stronger than purebloods and could naturally put on more muscle and size?
He remembered being quite athletic in his first year. As far as an 11-year-old could be pureblood, at least. But then the halfbloods and muggleborns decided to 'put him his place' so to speak and started to bully him harshly. He remembered being tripped, shoved, punched, and pinched, and then came what they could do in private, away from the prying eyes of the teachers and staff. They beat him, dunked his head into the toilet, slammed him against the floor, walls, and whatever was available, and some of the larger 1st and 2nd years, and even some of the older non pureblood students, began to toss him in the air and to catch him like a ball. He just simply gave up trying to compete with them athletically after that, and eventually even just gave up trying to stand up for himself after a while, especially in his second year when Harry Potter, the muscle-bound Boy-Who-Lived, started to attend Hogwarts who made things so much worse. Especially with his pets Colin Creevey and eventually Dennis Creevey eventually started attending as well. His one bright spot was the lovely Ms. Granger who would regularly stand up for him when he was to cowardly to do so for himself.
