A Call From Anna

After a careful inspection to make sure that she had gotten all the dirt out of the carpet, Hannah put the vacuum back in its storage space and walked towards the bathroom to take a shower. She paused momentarily before turning the water on to make sure that she would have no more interruptions. Sure that she would be left alone, she took a long, cold shower.
After her shower, she dressed in Luis's old high school jersey, which he had given to her the day he left for college, and a pair of boxer shorts that had likewise belonged to Luis.
She had been feeling somewhat lonely since moving into her new apartment, not only because she hadn't dated in nearly a year and wanted the presence of a guy, but also because it was the first time in four years that she had lived by herself with no roommates.
She settled into her couch with a magazine and put a cd on to relax to after her hard day of cleaning. At 6:44, the phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Hannah, it's me, please don't be mad, but my car won't start and none of my roommates are home! I'm going to take the bus, but that means I'll be a little bit late. Please don't be mad, it's not my fault! Just tell him I had to run an errand or something!"
The connection started to break up at that point, static nearly drowning Anna out.
"I gotta go, I'll be there in a few!"
"Wait, Anna! What's his name?"
But it was too late, Anna had already hung up, and just in time for the doorbell to ring. Apparently, he was early.
