The accursed necklace of Bastet

It’s December in the Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker Households, and they are all preparing for christmas. Gloria is pregnant with Joe and will give birth next month, Jay is at his brother Donnie’s for the weekend and will return on christmas day, Cameron and Mitchell are staying at Cameron’s parents farm for the weekend with Lilly, Phil has been away since Thanksgiving at a business conference and will return with Jay on christmas. So this leaves only Manny, Claire, Haley, Alex, Luke, and Gloria in the city.

It’s two weeks from christmas. Everyone at Jay and Gloria’s house for a pre christmas party. There will be gifts, food, and music. The first there is obviously the beautiful latina wife Gloria, her beautiful details made more detailed due to be eight months pregnant. Gloria’s son Manny, who is wise beyond his years, is the main caterer of the party, with help from Mitchell and Cam with facetime on the computer. Claire, Jay’s daughter from his first marriage, may be a near, or at middle aged soccer mom who is still pretty.

Then entering is Haley, Claire and Phil’s beautiful daughter who dresses like the average american girl and lives for social media. Then enters is Alex, who is pretty, but more of a girl next door pretty, and is very smart. And then entering is the youngest kid of the Dunphy family, Luke, who is always face first in a DS.

The women are dressed in beautiful dresses with glamorous makeup, except for Alex, who is wearing her regular clothes. Manny and Luke are in formal pants and collared shirts. The rest of the family are on facetime with the mac books and iPhones. Gifts were handed around, from those at the party and outside the state. But the best is one item.

It was a necklace, beautifully ornate with a glass blown glass crystal made up of the seven colors: ROYGBIV. But around it are a series of small gems, probably diamonds. It was a gift from Phil to Claire, with everyone adding in their words of affection for it. After that, the Dunphy's returned back to their home, with Claire wearing the necklace the whole way home.


After returning home with everyone falling asleep, the diamonds on the necklace start to glow. The die is cast, the game has started, and the next 10 days will be a marvel in modern society.
