"Listen, Isabel..." Maria begun. "That incident was a long time ago, I'm sure she doesn't hold grudges for that long."
"Have you seen who we're talking about here?!" Isabel replied, remembering Kaley's attempt at humiliating her. "I'm pretty sure she does!"
"It didn't really seem like it, if you ask me..."
Isabel looked at Maria before she spoke. "Umm, can we just go into the pool?"
"You're not hearing me out, Isabel" Maria continued. "They seemed genuinely nice and kind to us, and I tend to read people quite well. Please, let's just give them a chance here. Besides, if they try anything, I'm here to help you out!"
Isabel hesitated for a few seconds.
"You promise?"
"Yes, of course! I only think Kaley is the one who could do such a thing anyways, Carina seems too feeble to try anything like it. So we'll be two against one before Kaley could do anything, which I don't think she will."
"Okay! Fine!" Isabel said, agreeing to give them a chance as well as keeping a slightly annoyed tone in her voice. "I'll give it a shot, but I'll leave if it gets too close to anything!"
"Good! And that's up to you of course. Shush, here they come..."
And with that, Kaley and Carina came smiling back with their own tanning beds. Carina put her bed in between Isabel and Maria, and Kaley put her bed next to Isabel, which kept Maria the farthest away from her.
"Ahh! Such a nice day today, isn't it!?" Kaley said enthusiastically, looking at Isabel. Isabel, who still wasn't comfortable with the situation, was still sitting up while looking at Kaley.
"Y-yes, it is. Very nice." She said, trying to reply as neutrally as she could.
