An hour or so later, Maddie groggily awoke to the sound of her belly rumbling. Taking it in her hands and giving it a gentle slosh, it was clearly still mostly full of food. But it had digested enough that there was finally room for more, which definitely meant it was time to put more in it. It didn't really even matter if she was hungry or not; if Maddie could eat, she should eat.
It took several attempts for the girl to push herself up to a sitting position, her swollen gut filling almost her entire lap and almost pinning her to the bed under its fullness. Briefly she entertained the idea of going back to sleep a bit longer to digest some more, but the irresistible smell of greasy burgers was all it took to shake that idea.
She heaved herself off her bed, nearly falling over as her bloated belly sloshed against her thighs, but fortunately her flabby butt was just big enough to serve as a counterweight. Slowly the corpulent child waddled down a hallway she was surprisingly close to filling, until she reached the kitchen.
Her mother, hearing her daughter's heavy footsteps and heavier breathing, turned from her cooking and smiled. "Awake so soon? I thought for sure you'd be out for at least two hours after a big breakfast like that."
Maddie plopped her blubbery ass into a creaking chair that wasn't quite wide enough to contain all of her. Her belly gave another audible rumble. "I'm hungry, mommy," she moaned.
"What a healthy appetite! Well, lunch isn't quite done yet, so how about a little snack to tie you over until the burgers are done?"
Maddie nodded eagerly, and her mother plopped what seemed a perfectly reasonable "pre-lunch snack" in front of her daughter: an entire apple pie.
Maddie just barely had enough restraint for table manners, using a fork instead of her bare hands to shovel enormous mouthfuls of the fatty, sugary treat into her mouth. She didn't bother with slices; the entire pie was for her, and she would eat it handily in one sitting without losing her appetite.
Her bloated belly rumbled and gurgled as it swelled under the table. Maddie didn't even know if it was grumbling from fullness, hunger, or both at the same time, but it didn't matter. She wanted to eat, so she would. Life was best when she was eating, so she was eager to spend as much time doing that as possible.
After about five minutes, the pie was gone, and Maddie sat happily rubbing a belly so swollen it reached her knees and pushed her shirt all the way to her chest. She was already feeling stuffed again, but when her mother finally placed a plate stacked with a dozen hamburgers in front of her, she barely waited for it to hit the table before she grabbed one.
"Such a good eater," her mother giggled, admiring Maddie's enthusiasm as she shoved burgers into her chubby cheeks. "Sweetie buns, there's something I'd like to talk to you about..."
