The giant cue ball smashed against the other balls, but none of them were sunk. "Well, damn." Selena said, annoyed. "I guess it's your turn."
You looked at the table, trying to figure out how you were going to play. Selena saw your confusion and sighed. "Look to your right." She told you.
Sure enough, to your right, there was a human sized pool table. And every ball on it was in the exact same position as on the big table. You had heard of this. Sometimes these games came with two set: one for monsters to use, and one for humans to use. Movements on one set affect the other and vice versa. You never knew how, but you didn't question it. You set up your shot and hit the cue ball. It struck the 2 ball and sunk said ball into a back corner pocket.
"Yes. One step closer to victory." You shout. Then you heard Selena laugh.
"You have no idea how 9-ball is played, do you?" She asked.
"Uh.."
"It doesn't matter what ball goes where. The only thing that matters is sinking the 9 ball. That's the winning shot. And it's my turn."
You gulped as she set up the shot, aiming for the 9 ball. She fired, but the 9 ball didn't go into a pocket. Instead it bounced of the side and hit the 6 ball.
"God damnit!" She yelled. "Your turn."
It went like this for an hour, both you and Selena trying to hit the 9 ball and win. Eventually it was the only ball left on the table and it was Selena's turn.
"No objects balls left except for 9, a clear shot to the back left corner pocket. I think your spending the day with me." She said as she lined up her shot and fired. You watch in suspense as the 9 ball heads to the pocket. Does Selena sink the shot?
