Everything was just too weird, the boys were gone, the teacher was gone, and some of the girls went through a transformation, that may have a connection with an earlier conversation.
Josh was shaking, looking down at the dictaphone, realizing its mistake. He gulped, then thought...
"After all... It's nothing I can't fix later? Why not roll with it for a while? Having such a large shaft isn't such a bad thing..."

The between 10 seconds and a minute statement was because he didn't want the girls to realize too quickly that what they say turns true, and to had a bit more randomness.
Proud of his idea, Josh went inside the swimming pool, and stood at the entrance with a kind of stupid Peter Pan pose, and looked at the girls with a smile.
