This choice: Some guards heard something coming from Eliza's room, & come in to investigate  •  Go Back...Chapter #5For the Pleasure of the Princess    by: MadJack Perhaps Lydia shouldn't have been as gleefully demonic as she had been, for a loud rapping soon echoed through the chamber; someone was knocking on the door. "My lady," a clear voice called out. "Is everything all right?"

Eliza's face showed a moment's surprise, before breaking into a smile. "My dear queen," she whispered to Lydia. "Could you please make yourself less noticeable? I don't wish to alarm anyone just yet."

Lydia frowned slightly. "Why not just kill him and be done with it?"

"Oh, but my queen, I do so like this one," Eliza insisted. Lydia decided to comply with her request, concealing herself behind a chest of drawers while Eliza opened her chamber door.

The man on the other side of the door was Eliza's personal guard, a young paladin known as Arro. He was a tall, rather lanky young man with thick blond hair and piercing blue eyes. As one of the royal guards, he was also clean-shaven, and a bit more well-groomed than a soldier might be expected to be. As they were currently safe within the palace walls, he wore no armor, but a crimson dress uniform, with a sword ready at his hip.

"I heard noises, my lady," he noted. "Unusual sounds. I became concerned...

Eliza smiled. "You're always so concerned for me, my dear solider," she said, gesturing him to enter. "I was observing something of interest in the courtyard. Take a look."

Arro was still alert; he thought he'd heard a second voice in Eliza's chamber. Further, something about her attitude, her bearing, seemed off. Eliza had quite a temper, and was often quite rude to him. It was odd to see her so well-behaved. Even aside from all that, something seemed...off about her in general. She was backlit by the sunlight from the balcony, and Arro couldn't see the changes to her figure. Cautious, he entered the room at her request.

With a gesture, Eliza used her new powers to slam the door shut behind him. Arro was immediately startled. "What is-"

He wouldn't get a chance to finish, as Eliza brutally shoved him against the wall, eyes glowing. Her strength was insane, and Arro was temporarily knocked breathless.

"So sorry for the rough treatment, my dear soldier," she whispered. "But I don't know my own strength, sometimes. What I do know is, you are a fine, fine specimen of a man. And I do appreciate how you look after me, even when I get into one of my moods. Let me show my appreciation. Have you wanted to do this? Because I have, for some time."

Before Arro could object, Eliza locked her lips with his, moaning softly. She'd had a little crush on the guard ever since her father had assigned him to her, and now, with her inhibitions completely burned away by Lydia's magic, she was going to do what she'd often fantasized about.

Lydia, meanwhile, sighed with irritation. For this, the princess had delayed her plans? Was it worthwhile to allow this indulgence? indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
