Knowing Kindle’s persistent nature it would be nearly impossible to refuse her request. Not only that, but the pouty expression she would pull every time you declined was enough to even make the cruelest of men’s heart shudder in shame. “Alright fine.” You say with a small sigh as you scoop up a spoonful of cereal to place in your mouth. A giddy squeal soon erupts from Kindle as she was clenching her upper paw hands in shear eagerness. “Thank you master!” she shouts before quickly getting up and making her way down the small hallway of your apartment. “H-hey! Your breakfast!” you exclaim with a scowl, as she hurriedly return and stuffs the contents of her bowl straight into her mouth. “Dun!” She says with cheeks stuffed like a content pachirisu before running off again.
With a simple headshake and chuckle, you resume with your meal before finally getting up to place the empty dishes in the sink. Upon piling them up, you soon manage to hear Kindle’s quick footsteps emanating down the hall. “Ready!” she exclaims as a large dark purple witch hat adorned the top of her head. “I thought that thing didn’t fit you.” You state remembering when you first purchased that oversized hat months ago. “I added some paper inside to make it so that it doesn’t get loose!” Kindle beams as she uses both her hands to adjust the brim with a grin. “You know you really don’t have to get into costume.” You chuckle lightly while making your way up to her. “B-But master!” She retorts while holding both of her hands clenched up under her neck. “It’ll help out when I’m doing the trick.” She quickly states. “And…Well, I like to wear it.” She huffs while giving a pout.
“Alright Alright.” You say while waving your hands up in a defensive manner. “Now then, are you ready to show this trick of yours?” you ask curiously. “Yup!” Kindle beams as she quickly grabs your right hand and eagerly leads you straight into the living room of your apartment. She soon stops before your couch before signaling with her snout for you to take a seat. With a small smile, you plant yourself down as she quickly moves the furniture about to form a small makeshift stage. “Alright then!” Kindle beams as she stands within the middle of the room, giving a rather proud pose with her trusty stick raised high in the air. “Now presenting, the great KINDLE!” she beams triumphantly as you couldn’t help but give a small laugh and applaud to follow.
“Now then. I’ll need a volunteer!” she smiles while playfully gazing about the empty recesses of your apartment, taking several instances to gaze specifically at you. With a small roll of your eyes, you raise up your right hand as she gasps in sheer excitement. “Perfect!” She shouts as she rushes to you and quickly helps you on your feet. “Now then my dear volunteer, all I’ll need you to do is stand down there.” She instructs while pointing at a rather empty space not too far from the walls. Heeding her words, you make your way towards the designated area before planting your feet firmly down upon the carpeted floor. “Excellent!” she beams while playfully twirling her wooden stick around. “Now watch as the great Kindle works her powers!” she exclaims with a huge grin as she positions the tip of her stick directly at you.
A small nervous gulp runs down your throat as you were concerned if another accident might occur within your apartment. To your ultimate surprise however, nothing around seemed to be burning or falling off straight to the floor. As you gaze down at Kindle, it appeared like she was trying her best to concentrate as her hand holding the stick begins to shake lightly. “Errr…Kindle?” You say with a raised confused brow. “J-Just…a..second.” she stammers as she begins to grunt and squint her eyes ever so slightly. It was obvious she was trying to do some sort of trick, though just what she was trying to perform was completely debatable. “ummm…are you alright?” you ask curiously as you were just about to move towards her. “S-Stay Still!” she shouts in a pleading tone as she continues to strain before you. Immediately, you cease any movement as she continues her odd actions.
As you continue to stand, your mind slowly begins to count down the passing seconds as Kindle continued to keep her ground. After around a minute and a half, the Braixen soon lets out a long grunt mixed with a gasp as she kneels down on her knees. “Kindle, are you alright?” you ask as you finally manage to move your body towards her. “I…I thought it would work…” Kindle mutters in a disappointed tone as both of her hands rested upon her black furred knees. Her face soon contorts a bit as if she was almost on the verge of tears. “h-hey now.” you stammer before kneeling down to pat her on the shoulder. “I’m sure whatever you were trying to do would’ve turned out great.” You remark with a warm smile on your face. “but…it was suppose to be just for you.” She says with a deep saddened sigh. “Hey, don’t beat yourself up.” You retort while patting her shoulder once more. “I’m sure you’ll be able to do it next-“
Just as you were about to complete your sentence, a sudden odd force seemed to encompass your entire body. “Master?” Kindle asks in a confused voice as she raises her head to gaze at you. “Are you alright?” As hard as you attempted to muster out a word from your mouth, your body suddenly begins to tense up. Your eyes quickly begin to scan about your surroundings feverishly as they soon focus solely upon Kindle’s furred face. Once contact was made with her, a great sense of confusion and dread soon begins to course down your body as it almost appeared as if she was starting to grow right before you. A startled gasp quickly escapes her as a sudden grin forms on her face. “i-it worked!” she exclaims happily. ‘Worked!?’ you stammer in your head, unsure as to just what Kindle could’ve done to you.
