It was finally time for lunch. I always ended up bringing my own lunch because there are a lot of things on the lunch menu that I don't like, and because I didn't have to wait in line, I had more time to eat. I strolled up to the table where I typically sat and placed my lunch box on the table before heading to the restroom. After that, I came out, sat down, and began to eat my lunch. I ate an egg salad sandwich with potato chips and an apple. It was nothing out of the ordinary. "How are things going, Sam?" When I looked up, I recognized my friend Cory. Cory is someone I've known for three years. When I was a new student at my school, I met him.
We have a good friendship because he was pretty much my only friend at this school. I see him at least a few times a week after school, and we normally do stuff like watch TV, play video games, or play basketball. We had only started playing together a few weeks before, and he wanted to play to help me improve, which was very nice of him. I said, "I'm OK, how about you?" "I'm doing great because it's friday and I'm going to relax" "that's good to hear" I said as I took a bite of my sandwich.Cory and I ate and talked about various topics for around 10 minutes. "Sam, I have to be done a little early because I have to see my science teacher for help on an assignment," Cory explained. "Oh ok, see you later," I replied, disappointed. I had almost finished my sandwich and was only two bites away from finishing it when I noticed something green on the interior.
When I removed the bread, I discovered green slime in the egg salad. "That's my slime," I exclaimed, surprised. "How did that get there?" But then it occurred to me that Judith had taken some of the monster blood. "Why would she do this? It's sick and twisted of her to do it. "I've never done anything to her" I thought With anger and confusion. I pondered that I didn't want to confront Judith or tell anyone about it because I was afraid things would get even worse and she would bully me worse. The bell rang, signaling that lunch had ended, just as I was assessing my problem. I got up from the table and walked over to the trash can, where I threw the last piece of the sandwich away. "I hope I don't get sick" I thought as I walked out of the cafeteria.
