The run went by without a hitch.
Ryan sighed after his run around the field. It was boring but he knew it was to get him ready for the main part.
Mr Tanaka pressed a switch and many obstacles appeared on the wide open grass.
"Okay class today we will do timed runs for each student. You must push the large block, then climb it to
the zipline. After doing that you must land on the medium sized yellow ring or have a 5 second time penalty.
Then you must run up the pyramid blocks and ring the bell. Any questions?"
Everyone said no and Mr Tanaka said "Okay Mr Doe will you go first?"
Ryan tapped John on the shoulder and said "Remember no running on all fours."
Light killer muttered "Farest thing from my mind."
His run was quite good overall. After a small while it was Ryan's turn.
"Ready Ryan? 3, 2, 1, GO!" Mr Tanaka yelled as he blew on a whistle.
Ryan pushed the large block with his left arm. He wanted to save his right arm's power for the pyramid blocks.
He climbed up the block, rolling as he did so. He then latched on to the zipline and sped down it.
He could see the yellow ring just near him. After using his monk training he backflipped off the zipline and landed feet first on the ring.
All that was left was the pyramid blocks. He used his right arm to support his weight as he climbed up them. To be honest it made him
think of the time when he walked to the monk temple in Tibet in the dark, snowy night. What made it different was these blocks were not covered in ice. Also he was not falling on his back and making the block he landed on covered in a red, copper smelling liqud.
He could hear Jenny cheering him on. At last he rang the bell and sat down with a sigh.
The whole run made him think of his life, going over one thing after another. Sometimes he felt like his mind and body were two different
people. In his mind the wound of Jenny leaveing was like a scar on him. Yet with his body he mows down every hurdle in front of him, when he acts it comes naturally almost super human to him.
But for now he was content to just ask "Did I make it in time?"
