"I wish to have the most magical Prom ever!" You exclaim, causing the necklace to glow.
As far as you can tell, nothing has changed. You shrug your shoulders. Maybe the magic will only work once Prom arrives.
Sarah returns with a tray of food for the two of you. Together, you eat lunch and talk about your plans for Prom. Sarah agrees to pick you up at six on Saturday at your house before going out to dinner.
After lunch, you head to your car to leave. Sarah gives you a quick goodbye kiss before you get into your car and drive back home.
The week is long and tedious, and you are looking forward to the dance. When Saturday finally arrives, you spend all morning at the salon getting your nails done and your hair styled. You grumble at how much it costs and wish that you had a friend with rich parents.
Six o'clock finally arrives and you anxiously await Sarah's arrival. Sarah arrives in a black tuxedo with a green vest and bowtie matching your own green dress. Photos are taken by your parents before Sarah whisks you off to dinner.
Once dinner is over, Sarah drives you to the dance that is being held in the reception hall of a nearby hotel. As soon as you enter the reception hall, a chill runs down your spine. Something seems out of place, but you can figure out what it is.
You are starting to get a little thirsty and want to leave to get a drink, but Sarah insists that you get your photos taken first.
