Chapter #6

Keep Sarah as your boyfriend

    by: Hollybear Author IconMail Icon
"I think the best thing for us to do is to playing along and act like nothing is wrong," You tell Sarah. "As soon as we figure out how to change you back to normal then we will."

"I suppose that makes the most sense," Sarah replies glumly. "I was just really wanting to have a great Prom. I was hoping to find the perfect dress and get my hair done, but now it looks like I'm going to have to wear a tux."

Several passersby gave Sarah an odd look. To them, Sarah looked like a normal teenage boy talking about wanting to wear a dress.

"Check your wallet," You instruct Sarah.

Inside Sarah's wallet is her driver's license, school ID car, and about two hundred dollars in cash. Apparently, Sarah was planning on buying your dress today. Hopefully, he'll still remember to pay for your dress even after he gained all of his female memories back.

"We might as well get you your dress now," Sarah replies, flipping through the bills. "It's strange, I remember everything from my life but I also remember my new life."

"So you remember everything that happened in your male life?" You ask, surprised at Sarah's revelation.

"Yeah, I remember playing peewee soccer, dressing up as a power ranger for Halloween, and breaking the heads off of your barbies," Sarah admits. "Those are things that I never did as a girl."

"What else do you remember? How are you feeling about your new body?" You ask, your curiosity is piqued.

"I remember asking you out to Homecoming last semester," Sarah confesses. "I remember being incredibly happy when you finally said yes. I remember our first dance together and our first kiss that night."

"You remember our first kiss and I don't?" You blurt out. "That's not fair!"

Sarah reaches over and grabs your arm. He spins you in a circle before dipping you. You can feel how powerful his new arms are. Leaning his head down, he kisses you. You close your eyes and wrap your arms tightly around Sarah.

"What was that for?" You stutter after Sarah releases you.

"I don't know, it just felt like the right thing to do," He answers you. "Even though I used to be a girl, being a boy and kissing girls just feels right."

You hold Sarah's hand as you continue shopping. A grin has spread across your face and you are radiating happiness. Who would have thought that your best is now your boyfriend.

Prom comes and goes, along with graduation. You spend most of the summer with Sarah. After Prom Sarah had given up trying to find a way to change himself back. You never bothered to tell him about the wishing necklace.

As your senior year of college approaches, Sarah musters up the courage to ask you to marry him. You knew that you had been close, but it was still an honest surprise to you.

Without hesitating, you reply, "yes".

The years go by, and you are blessed with several children. As your twentieth anniversary Sarah rediscovers your wishing necklace in your jewelry box as he was trying to come up with ideas for an anniversary present.

You come into your bedroom and freeze as you see Sarah with the necklace.

Sighing, Sarah looks at you and says, "I'm happy with the way our life turned out, but sometimes I wish I could know what life would have been like if I had never turned into a man."
