This choice: Things take a turn for the gently erotic. • Go Back...Chapter #7One last pull from the dark corners of the mind by: Unknown “I'm glad you do.” Yukari said, pulling back and holding Minato at arms length. “Like I said, it's fine if you don't want to talk about it. I'll probably hear about it from Mitsuru or Fuuka after they get home. Now please, stop looking so down.”
It hurt her, seeing him so down. That look in his eyes when she came down the steps, the sheer despair it seems he was falling into...
It hurt her.
As much as it had to learn of her Father's death, all those years ago.
Both heart and mind instantly cried out, seeking to comfort him, catch him before he could fall into that yawning, endless chasm called despair.
It couldn't claim another person so close to her. Not if she could help it.
Minato sniffed a bit, a few more tears running down his face. He looked into Yukari's eyes, looked into the warm pools that held complete and utter concern for him.
Not to say that no one else was concerned though. Despite all misgivings about the truth being found out last night, there was not one Person in S.E.E.S. That could not be concerned for the mental and emotional stability of a kid who possibly has the monster that killed his parents sealed in his soul, might hold some sway over him and was, quite literally, Death itself.
Not to mention the deal with having jumped ten years into the future after having seen his parents get killed, his grandparents not knowing who he was and the fact that he can't tell them who he is, the deal with the shadows, and to top it all off, having to emulate suicide every time he needed to fight the shadows.
If he had to take a serious psychological evaluation that poked at every single thing he had done in the last few months and how it affected him, it would not be promising.
He had heard, distantly, when Edogawa had displayed some emotion when Saori brought up that it was a truck load of info to be dumped on him, even if the truth of the matter was only hypothetical right now.
For even the calm, collected nurse to show emotion, when even facing death at the fangs of a shadow he had barely shown more emotion then a cardboard box, said a lot about the intensity of his worry for the boy's mental health.
And by extension, the group's worry as a whole.
But Yukari was there, had snapped herself from a cloud of lust and had tried to comfort him, despite having no grasp on the situation.
And he knew from experience that, sometimes, Yukari had a hard time breaking out of those moments of lust.
“There.” Yukari said, wiping a stray tear from his face. “You don't have to bottle it up Minato. You may try and help everyone else with their problems, but you have to let others help you with yours. I'm here for you. Mitsuru's here for you. Saori and Fuuka are here for you. Heck, I'm sure Junpei and Akihiko are here for you. Despite anything bad between the group, I'm sure we wouldn't just abandon anyone if they needed help. I'm sure we can work through whatever might be wrong.”
Minato's eyes cast their gaze downwards, suddenly finding the floor interesting.
“You don't know what happened last night Yukari. Af-”
“Minato, don't force yourself to tell me right now.” Yukari gently said, silencing him by squeezing his shoulder. “I can tell you're still trying to come to terms with whatever happened, still trying to understand what it means. While I would like to know, right now you need to focus on something else. It won't do you any good to dwell on this right now, so early in the day.”
“It's almost noon.” Minato said, a small smile breaking through the gloom.
“I know.” Yukari teased softly. “But it helped bring your mind away from those dark places, didn't it?”
Minato nodded, a tiny laugh forming in his chest.
Sometimes it was the simple things that pulled you back from those dark corner's of your mind. Someone to talk to, even if it isn't about what's wrong, can do a load of good for someone.
“See?” Yukari said, grinning slightly. “That hollow look in your eye is gone.”
“Thanks Yukari.” Minato said as he moved his hand to her face, moving a stray piece back in place as he cupped her cheek. “I don't really know what I did to deserve any of you.”
Yukari placed her hand over his, looking deep into those silver-blue eyes of his.
“It's because you're, well, you.” She said, leaning slightly closer. “You're kind, courageous, and handsome, in your own way. You've nearly killed yourself several times in order to save us. You try to help us deal with our problems, even the ones we wouldn't speak to others about... Do I have to go on?” Yukari asked.
Minato shook his head again, leaning closer to her.
“No, you don't.”
“Good. Never doubt the love we have, crazy as it is. I can tell, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that it is more real then anything else. Something that not even the test of time can weaken.”
She placed her forehead against his, nose to nose as she continued to look into his eyes, which were once again shimmering with tears, though of happiness this time.
She smiled slightly, seeing that she had finally brought him completely back from that brink of despair.
Quickly though, her grin gained a side of seductiveness. Not too much, mind. Just enough to show that her mind was starting to think of one of the most pure forms of love, this being of the physical nature.
Sure, in today's world, people forgot that sex was a representation of trust and love, only doing it for the pleasure for the most part anymore. Prostitutes and other such people defaced it even further, treating it like a business.
But she wasn't like that, nor was Minato or any of the other girls. What they had wasn't like that, tainted by the way of the world.
This was something genuine, which was sadly rare anymore.
“Minato,” She said, moving her head so her mouth was by his ear. “I want to show you how pure it is, this love we have. We've done it a lot before, but I want to remind you.” She whispered, her breath hot on his ear before playfully biting at it.
Minato tensed slightly, his mind quickly asking if this was a good idea right now. This was part of the reason for the current situation they all found themselves in, after all.
But it seems Yukari would not be denied. She pulled him into her bosom once more, stopping in her teasing of his ear.
“I'm not stopping until you agree, you know.” She said passionately, bringing one hand to his back. “We have the entire dorm to ourselves today, and I don't plan on wasting that opportunity. It's not often that we get genuine alone time after all.”
Minato had to, guiltily, admit that she was right.
They couldn't go on dates, like normal couples. They had to be careful even when here, at the dorm, for fear of one of the guys finding out.
Well, that last one was a moot point, now.
If only he were older, this wouldn't have been such a problem...
“Ow!” He yelped, muffled, feeling Yukari pinch his arm.
“No more thinking about anything bad right now.” She said, not having pulled him from her chest. “Just... feel.”
Minato just nodded, his hands slowly wrapping themselves around Yukari.
Maybe Yukari was right, despite his own misgivings about the situation.
Though that was his mind talking, and not his heart.
Though... his heart wasn't entirely sure what to feel right now. Part of it said listen to what he was thinking.
But the other part, a slightly bigger part, was saying listen to Yukari.
'Don't think, just feel. Don't think, just feel.' He chanted in his mind, forcing down the rebellious thoughts that tried to push their way back to the surface.
“There you go.” Yukari said, feeling him relax in her grasp. “Now, we should go back upstairs, before anyone passing by stops to peek in, or we lose ourselves right here in the lobby.”
With that, Yukari finally pulled him back from her chest, grabbing his hand as she pulled him back towards the stairs. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
