The watchguard

David nodded, eagerly entering the store.

Andrew stood there, gun in both hands.

Minutes passed by with no response from David.

Another several minutes later, the first zombie was spotted.

Andrew held up the handgun, aiming carefully at the shambling corpse. It was alone, so that wouldn't justify wasting a bullet and further risking attracting more. However, this one wasn't alone. It was joined by a second, and eventually a third zombie, which gradually noticed Andrew, unhidden, and began to stumble towards him.

"Uh, Dave, we really should get going now! They're starting to show up!" Andrew called out

"J-just a sec!" David replied, seeming frustrated
