Sarah had opened the door and walked through the doorway, into the room she and Augustus had rented for the night. She looked around, before asking, "Cyrus, you there?" Cyrus then walked out the hole in the wall, with Bridget following after - Cyrus waved his hands and shouted, "Over here, Sarah!" Sarah's head turned to face the direction Cyrus' voice was coming from and headed over to the wall. She walked up and proceeded to kneel down.
"Oh, there you are!" Sarah said, looking down at Cyrus. Sarah noticed Bridget standing behind him and asked, "Who is this?" Cyrus looked up at Sarah and replied, "This is Bridget - she was staying in the hole in the wall. I guess she kind lives her." Bridget then quickly responded, "P-Please don't tell the owners! It's kind of a secret..." Sarah smiled back and laughed, "Haha, no worries - your secret's safe with me!" Sarah then looked back at Cyrus and added, "But, why were you in the wall to begin with?"
"That's what I wanted to tell you," Cyrus said in a serious tone. "Shortly after Augustus left to go join you, someone had busted the door open, trying to grab hold of me." Sarah was shocked, and looked back at the door, past her shoulder. "I see," she said quietly. "So, that's why it was broken - Augustus gave me the key to the room, but I noticed the door was slightly open. I honestly thought he just left it that way on accident." Cyrus shook his head and stated, "Not at all the case, sadly - I couldn't make out the figure at all, they were wearing a robe that obscured their whole body. Whoever they were, they wanted me, for whatever reason." Sarah nodded silently, before Bridget piped up, "I-Is it true that you're under some spell?"
"Oh, yeah, it is," Sarah said, before she busted out a fart.
BRRRRRRRRRRR-BRRRRRRAP!
Bridget quickly hid behind Cyrus, covering her nose. "Ewww," she said, "please warn me before you do that..." Sarah couldn't help but laugh as she replied, "Well, this is what you get with a Wind Elf, little lady." Bridget said back at her, her hand muffling her speech, "Yeah, but you could be contagious for all I know! I don't wanna start getting all weird and gassy like you..." Cyrus looked back at Bridget and said, "Bridget, if it were contagious, I'd be stinking up a storm in that hole - trust me, the spell only effects her, and the other girls I told you about." Bridget moved her hand away from her nose and mouth and replied, "Y-Yeah, I guess that's true... But, still, please warn me before you just... blurt them out like that." Sarah giggled and said, "Awwww, you're cute! I've never met someone who was so nervous around me and my farts before." Sarah's eyes narrowed as she added, "Y'know, I can get you used to them in due time... maybe we should get to know each other better."
Bridget started to blush heavily, and Cyrus looked up at Sarah, snapping his fingers to get her attention. "Hey, Sarah," he said sternly, "you're starting to get all wrapped up in your farts again." Sarah shook her head slightly and started blushing herself. "Oh... yeah, right," she said. "Sorry about that," she told Bridget with a nervous smile.
"Don't worry about it," Cyrus responded. "I already caught her up on what's been going on. Now, where's August? We need to tell him about the hooded figure - he probably knows something about them that we don't." Sarah nodded her head and replied, "Yeah, I was thinking the same thing - he wanted me to tell you that he thinks he found a lead, but that he wanted to go alone. Apparently, if I went with him, it would have given him away or something." Bridget stepped out from behind Cyrus and asked, "Well then, what do we do? We gotta tell him about that person, right? With any luck, we could catch him!"
"August was adamant about us waiting for him, though," Sarah replied. "We already bought the room, we might as well stay put and let August do what he needs to." Bridget spoke up again and said, "But the lock on the door is broken! The staff won't be able to fix it right away - that leaves us open for another attack from them, doesn't it?" Sarah crossed her arms and replied, "True... but, I've got the gas to fend them off, if need be - Cyrus has seen me knock out a crook or two with my butt, and now that it's supercharged, we should be good!" Bridget winced and responded, "I guess that's true..."
"I'll leave it up to you, Cyrus," Sarah said. "If it were me, I'd wait for the potion to wear off first, before we go anywhere - like it or not, you're vulnerable like that, and I don't want you getting hurt." Cyrus put his hands on his hips and started thinking to himself. This is a tough one. I'm not sure there's really a right answer here - on the one hand, August should know about this hooded figure as soon as possible. But, on the other, he's done this sorta thing before, or so he says, anyway. It's true what Sarah says about me being so tiny being a vulnerability, as well. But, I got her now, so I should be good - right? Hmmm... who should I side with on this one?
