This choice: More explanations, and Yuya gets to see the past! • Go Back...Chapter #7Open! Gates of Time! by: Eliott   Yuya needed a few minutes to recover, as he sat on the ground. His goggles were on his face, right now, hiding his eyes, and he was holding the pendulum in front of Ayu. Despite there being no shine, the little girl was completely entranced as she watched it sway back and forth, creating a perfect arc.
"So... Odd-Eyes made her horny," he muttered, a little to himself. Indeed, even as Ayu's eyes had gone blank, he could see her legs were completely wet, the smell coming even to him. "Is there a way to fix this?"
It depends by what you mean with 'fix', the Magician of Astromancy asked him.
"Well, at least, make her cool down! I don't want to explain to Yuzu why she's such a mess!" As he complained, Yuya realized something else. "Actually, wouldn't I have to explain it to her parents, anyway?"
From what I can see, this little girl lives in an orphanage, Yuya, said the Magician of Chronomancy. She has no parents who you'd need to explain that to.
That wasn't what he wanted to hear. "What-seriously?!" he let out, shaking his head. "Well, that's not fair! She must've suffered a lot without any parents!"
Indeed she has. The black-garbed Magician turned to face him, his eyes glowing a bit. Would you like to change that?
"Eh?!"
The Pendulum of the Soul boosts our powers to significant degrees, Yuya. I'll be able to open a portal to the past, and ensure that her life is much better than it currently is, he explained. Yuya's eyes widened completely, now.
"Are you kiddng me!?" he let out, only for the Magician to frown.
I'll have you know that I never kid, jest, or fool around.
That's true, the Magician of Astromancy said, a little amused. He doesn't know how to do those things.
"Then, does that mean I can stop her from being affected by my Pendulum Summon?" he asked, getting back up.
No. This particular event is sealed within the timeline. Unless you wish to lose your Pendulum Summon to begin with, then there's no way to 'fix' this.
That deflated his mood somewhat, but Yuya didn't let that hold him back. Maybe changing Ayu's life would be enough. "Alright, then, let's do it!"
We'll need you to perform a Pendulum Summon, the white-garbed Magician said. It's the only way to open the portal.
"Got it!"
Getting back up and placing his pendulum back on his neck, Yuya undid the summon and placed the two Magicians on their respective scales. "Swing, Pendulum of the Soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether!"
It wasn't until he had seen the bright ring open above him that the redhead realized something was missing.
"Wait! What am I supposed to summon?!" he cried out at the two Magicians, who were standing on their pillars of light to his sides.
Yourself! both of them declared at once, and he nodded.
"Ah, myse-MYSELF?!"
Before Yuya could do anything, the ring of light fell on him, both him and Ayu - who had walked near him once the Pendulum of the Soul formed again - being absorbed by it.

The next second, Yuya and Ayu were inside some sort of void, standing on a platform of some kind. "Wha... what is this place?!" the boy cried out, as he looked around. This void spread as far as he could see, with only a few paths leading out.
This is the Time Void. It is here that we can explore the past, Yuya. The Magician of Chronomancy floated down to him as he spoke those words, while the Magician of Astromancy came closer to Ayu, taking her on his hands.
"The Time Void... can we go back to our own time from here?!" Yuya asked, worried enough for the two of them.
Yes. This is merely one of the dimensions we Duel Monsters can access and exist in. You'll be returned safe and sound once we are done. The Magicians headed forward, along a given path, and Yuya went after them. Their path led to a strange light, which spiraled in front of them.
"That's !" Yuya cried out, as he saw a much younger version of Ayu, sleeping in a basket. "So, you were right. Ayu was abandoned as a child..."
Yes. The orphanage does not seem to have mistreated her, but... The black-garbed Magician placed one hand on his shoulder. Should we take her to live elsewhere, Yuya?
"W-well..." he considered, a bit nervous. Ayu definitely deserved parents, but... who could he trust with this?   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
